畅销书单、学校成绩单、运动明星的绩效统计、工作上的KPI、每天走的步数：我们有什么事不被衡量的吗？学校的成绩代表了一名学生。业绩代表了一名员工。大家都在看数据、效果，没有人在乎过程了吗？我们跟朋友、同事比较，企业互相比较、学校互相比较。为什么呢？这是个好的，或者正面的，现象吗？

关于作者：

Dr. Berend van der Kolk (1986) is an Associate Professor at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Previously, he held academic positions at IE Business School Madrid and the University of Groningen, and visiting positions at the London School of Economics and the University of Sydney. He published in leading academic journals, but also in outlets such as The Guardian. In 2020, Thinkers50 London included him on the radar list of emerging management scholars, and praised him for offering “a unique take on the implications of how we measure performance”. Van der Kolk holds degrees in Accounting (BSc, MSc, PhD), Philosophy (BA) and Business Administration (MSc). He is an associate editor of the Spanish Journal of Finance and Accounting (Taylor & Francis) and an editorial board member of the Journal of Accounting Education (Elsevier) and the European Journal of Management Studies (Emerald). His co-authored teaching cases are available via IE publishing and IVEY publishing.
