Ilaria Tuti住在义大利东北端的佛里乌利 。她小时候的梦想是当一位摄影师，但是最后她念了经济。她热爱海洋，但却住在山里。她热衷绘画，闲暇时间试衣间小出版社的插画家。Ilaria一直都不是多话的人，从小就不是，或许，这也是她开始写作的原因。有个日文词可以形容她的爱书成痴：积んどく。她的家人还因此开始威胁她。I Gialli Mondadori出版过她几篇短篇。《花朵盛开的地狱》是她“Battaglia 三部曲”的第一本。
