关于作者：

Paula Bombara is a biochemist by profession and a science communicator. As the daughter of a detainee who disappeared during the dictatorship, she actively collaborates with the work of the Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo (Grandmothers of Plaza de Mayo). Her writing reflects her own history and her commitment to children, human rights, science, women, diversity and a better world. Her book El mar y la serpiente (The Sea and the Snake) turns 20 years old this 2025 and continues to be one of the reference works in children's and young adult literature in Latin America.

Her talent has been awarded the Konex Foundation's Career Achievement Award in 2024, the SM Argentina Foundation Award in 2011, the IBBY - ALIJA Grand Prize in 2014 and 2024, and the National and Latin American Award for Children's and Young Adult Literature of Argentina in 2023, among others. Her work has been recognised by IBBY - ALIJA eight times and by Cuatrogatos Foundation four times. She has also been included in The White Ravens List and has been highlighted by IBBY - Mexico and El Banco del Libro de Venezuela.
