Arend van Dam started writing in 1989 and has more than a hundred books to his name. His most famous book being Long Ago… (Lang gele den…), for which he received a Zilveren Griffel award. With The Journey of Syntax Bosselman (De reis van Syntax Bosselman) he won the Archeon Thea Beckman Award 2018 and won yet another Zilveren Griffel award.
