Hilde Hagerup出生于1976年，出生于挪威，之后在伦敦大学就学。她的书被翻译过多国语言，包括德语、法语、泰语、等等。她有许多部作品都获得奖项，包括Spindrift (1998) 获得挪威文化部的新人奖； The Dandelion Song (2002)获得书评奖、Sonja Hagemann儿童文学奖以及图书馆员奖；The bite (2007)获得文化部文学奖。她之后更写了许多作品，包括Agatrha Christie的传记、许多短篇集以及更多给大人以及儿童的好书。
