Lorraine in her book Calm Kids offers beautiful little tools that help promote mindfulness (a quiet, tranquil mind) and envelop kids in clouds of fluffy pink love. Every tool is a gem of possibilities as kids make them their own. Their eagerness to be involved in the activities is outstanding. As parent/guardians it is beautiful to find the bond enhanced by activities that do not take long to share. Breathing into mummy's hair for 3 minutes, for example, helps deepen the breathing and is more efficient in calming a child than any word or distraction. We therefore benefit from Lorraine's vast knowledge and experience from teaching children meditation and other activities.
 
She undeniably has a deep understanding of how children think and feel. The book also covers simple explanations related to the science behind the activities. Some are purposely designed for kids with ADHD.
